IRAS student wins the Interstudent 2021 competition!

A third-year student of International Relations and Area Studies (IRAS), Lara Maria Guedes Gonçalves Costa won the 11th edition of the "Interstudent" competition for the best foreign student in Poland in the "Bachelor's degree" category.

Lara Maria comes from Brazil. As emphasized by Dr. Dominika Dziwisz, the Director of the IRAS program at the Jagiellonian University, Lara Maria is ambitious, talented, hardworking, go-getting and brave in taking on new scientific, organizational and charitable challenges. She is well-liked by her fellow students and appreciated by academic teachers for her commitment, good preparation for classes and initiating interesting scientific debates. She actively cooperates with student organizations. Together with a colleague from IRAS and the Brazilian Students' Association (BRASA), she prepared a guide "How to study in Poland".

Poland has become my second home. I am grateful that I can be here, and all the activities I undertake are an expression of gratitude for what I got in Poland, says Lara.

The INTERSTUDENT competition is organized by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation as part of the "Study in Poland" program which is carried out jointly with the The Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP).
